ENHANCING PARTNERS’ BIDS
The formal or informal selection of Preferred Housing Development/Management Partners is currently taking place in many Local Authority areas.
The Local Authorities, alongside the HCA and TSA, are keen to ensure that the development/management services attached to affordable homes can support and sustain long-term commitments to neighbourhoods and services, and contribute to community cohesion.
MRH can strategically position a partner Rural Housing Association (RHA) alongside a larger RSL or carry out strategic rural housing work in its own right and work in partnership with a larger RSL that is aiming to be selected. MRH/the RHA will ‘add value’ to the bid package.
RHAs can add a locally sensitive rural development and management specialism to such applications. This allows the Local Authority to realise the rural expertise that will be offered by the lead RSL.
