Agreement of HNS format with partner. This format would then be agreed with the Parish/Town Council. The questionnaire content can be altered to include extra questions to investigate any specific areas that require assessing.
Printing of HNS, prepaid return envelope and covering letter (the content of which would be agreed with partner and the Parish/Town Council and approved by the Local Authority).
Delivery of HNS to each household in the settlement (either by hand, with Parish/Town magazine or via the post).
Publicity of HNS (via posters, articles in local press, articles in Parish/Town magazine/newsletter etc).
Collation and analysis of data from returned questionnaires.
Production of HNS report which would be presented to partner, Parish/Town Council and Local Authority. This report will show the number / tenure / mix of homes required to meet the proven need of affordable housing for local people.
